The Experiment, Part 3 (The End)

Sun Apr 29, 2007, 7:53 AM
I feel I should properly thank all of you (or whoever still comes around to this abandoned profile) for all the support you've given. Every hour, minute, second that you slaved over reading my nascent writing (and it is nascent, it's ever-changing) has been more than appreciated. I admire how everyone tended to exaggerate on the epic quality of my writing: I believe that everyone can write, it's no amazing skill. Some may just have a better understanding on how to "manipulate words" than others; and by no means do I really consider myself that glorious exception.

Thank you for supporting my work. Thank you for actually reading my work. While I can't say there's going to be anymore (nothing new anyway), I can't express how much it meant to me when I was writing fanfiction to know people actually cared to read what I wrote. It was actually (mind the unsophisticated phrase, readers) kind of cool to put my writing on a place where people actively read it, reviewed it, and got into it. In the real world, stories about Sonic and Sally won't get you a dime (though I can name two exceptions, neither of which are most people's career destinations).

For the most part (if not all of it), my writing career here is over. My writing career at FF.net is over. I don't know how many people I let down (too few, I'd imagine) but I can't apologize at this point. What's done is done.

Once again, I want to thank you for having read my work. This is my last journal entry (believe me, there will be no revival).

I've thought of deleting this account, but I'm keeping it up for if any of you want to read my stories, you'll have a place to find them. Feel free to review, comment, or 'watch' me (whatever you call it). You never know, I may get back to you.

  • Mood: Thanks

There was no other way for me to ever reach you again so I'll put my thoughts here. You helped me with my story writing to an extent but I too have quit writing fanfics. This comment isn't about goodbyes or anything along those lines but I hope you read this some day. Remember our seemingly endless RP session where A.J. and Sally argued over the possibility that people could travel faster than the speed of light? I ask my friend Max a very well educated young man, if it was possible and he said yes but no one has been able to do it yet. That was back in 2004 or 2005. It's been two or three years years since then and it turns out that German scientists have broken the speed of light. Reading this news made me think of you and I wanted to tell you somehow but seeing how you've pretty much abandoned all means of my getting to you, I have no choice but to make this comment. Farewell nascentartiste, Miss Inadequate, cheerfulamyrose, or whatever you wish to call yourself. It was an honor knowing you.

I really hope you continue writing, your very talented <3

I'm going to watch you and i look forward to your future works.
:iconnascentartiste:
Thank you. There may be something new/continued someday, but for the most part, I'm done now. Glad to have some support though! (=
:iconbonn-fox:
That is a shame :( I really enjoyed reading your work but I can totally understand, I think the criticism writers receive can be extremely harsh and discouraging.

I'm glad to hear you might continue though
:iconnascentartiste:
Aw, it's not a matter of criticism, it's a matter of loss of interest. (= I always do love feedback though--positive or negative. I'd love to have someone critique my work.

By the way, I checked out your profile: your art is amazing!
:iconbonn-fox:
Thats fair enough :)

Thanks! I'm really glad you like it <3
